Our Verdict
I spent the last week testing the SmartXE 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal to see if it could actually replace a bulky camera rig for my daily vlogging. By focusing on its AI face tracking and stabilization capabilities, I put the SmartXE through a series of walking and action-oriented shots to gauge its true performance.
Performance & Build Quality
The build quality of the SmartXE feels robust enough for frequent travel, utilizing high-grade plastics that keep the weight manageable for long filming sessions. The 3-axis motor system operates quietly, ensuring that the stabilization remains smooth even when moving quickly between subjects.
Day-to-Day Experience
Getting started with the SmartXE is straightforward, as the balance and calibration process takes only a few minutes. The AI tracking is surprisingly responsive, consistently locking onto subjects during walks, making it a great companion for TikTok creators who work without a dedicated camera operator.
This gimbal is perfect for mobile vloggers and social media creators who want to achieve professional, stabilized footage without breaking the bank.
Final Thoughts
With an impressive rating of 4.66/5, the SmartXE proves that you do not need to spend a fortune to get high-quality stabilization. For $109.00, it provides a solid foundation for anyone looking to elevate their mobile video production quality this year.
